Sleeping Beauty

A special Easter Day telling of “Sleeping Beauty”.

The King and Queen celebrate the birth of their beautiful daughter, Briar Rose, with a mega-huge party. When a mean-spirited, appetizer-gobbling witch crashes the party, she puts an awful spell on Briar Rose, dooming her to perish on her eighteenth birthday. A sweet fairy does her best to ensure that the lovely child won’t die, but will be put under a spell of deep sleep which can only be broken by the kiss of true love.

Performed 4-20-14 at Bank Street Bookstore. Puppeteers: Rebecca Migdal. Accompanist: Andy Laties. Camera by Nere Kapiteni.
